Historic Activity:

  • There are poorly documented records of minor historical eruptive activity, but, vigorous steam plumes from its summit crater are common. The very active fumarole field and the large post-glacial lava flow suggest recent activity.

Recent Activity:

  • On March 15, 1995 steam plumes were reported rising 600-900 m over the general vicinity of Mount Martin volcano in Katmai N.P.
