Pierre was busy with fires all last summer with two trips to Fairbanks, AK.  He traveled to the Central Complex toward Central, AK northeast of Fairbanks.  He spent some time at a spike camp near Circle City on the Yukon River and at the base camp at the Circle Hot Springs Resort.  Alaska had it warmest summer on record and third driest year ever.  Of all fires in AK last year 6.6 million acres had burned.  I have tons more picture of AK so write & I can send a 15 meg PowerPoint.

We went to Georgia last Christmas on Tybee Island.  We went to Myrtle Beach, SC to see a Dolly Parton Show, aquarium, and many other sites.  Jo and Pierre had the flu bug while we were there which may have been a good thing as we didn't eat too much like we usually do over the holidays!

Pierre had shot spike bull elk with an arrow last year; he called the young bull in to 12 yards.  The arrow struck true to the heart.  Jo aka Annie Oakley got her buck with her .243 right through the heart also.  Also Pierre got another turkey this spring.

Also we'll include some pictures of a branding a couple summers past at the Thompson ranch.  Pierre got the job as brander.  The poor calves had a day they'll never forget: two shots, dehorned, branded, a tag in the ear, and if bulls they lose their ... well you know what!
