Welcome
Everyone,
As the title says this is the place you want
to be if you want to engage in serious discussion on political, social and
interesting alternative
health issues. Intellectual
exchanges on this home page will include, but are not limited to, the below
listed issues. Any and all social and political topics are fair game as I have
some very strong views on many issues.
Typical topics:
1)Physician assisted suicide; 2)Minimum
Wage; 3) Abortion; 4)Taxes;5)Separation of Church and State; 6)Federal
government ownership of state land and its obnoxious intrusion into our everyday lives 7)Gun Control; 8)Social
Security; 9)The FDA; 10)The End Times. Well, you've got the idea.
Current Topic: Any of the Above
- I do not favor a minimum wage PERIOD. It is bad for EVERYONE, even
the people it is supposed to help. Who do you think pays for the increase
in doing business? When the government and the unions artificially
increased our labor rates our jobs went overseas and machines replacing
workers made tremendous inroads in industry. Historically, as the minimum
wage goes up so does unemployment, the prices for goods and services as well
as business failure rates. Even though $10.00 per hour sounds a lot better
than $2.50 per hour, that $2.50 per hour bought more and only one parent
needed to work to make ends meet.
- I am against the existence of the IRS. Institute a flat tax and
have the treasury of the United States collect the revenue and disband the
IRS.
- Abortion is a horror. To be a citizen of a country where you can
be put in prison and fined several thousand dollars for killing an eagle,
(it's a bird!) destroying its egg or even being in possession of its
feather while it is perfectly legal to kill 1,500,000 unborn humans a year is unnerving, don't you think?
Mother Teresa said: "The fruit of abortion is nuclear
war". Maybe she knew something we don't. Do you feel we will have a
price to pay for this travesty and do you really know the truth about abortion? It was inevitable, wasn't it, that abortion should
lead to infanticide. Delivering a live kicking baby, except for it's
head, sucking out it's brain and crushing it's skull and then removing it
from the womb is infanticide - not abortion. And we wonder why violence,
especially among our youth, continues to increase. Look what we are
telling them is OK! In 1973, when abortion on demand became legal,
pro-lifers warned that it would lead to just that and they were laughed at
and made fun of. Just another reason to vote for conservative candidates.
Liberal Democrats have taken us to the edge of civility.
- The separation of church and state was written into our
constitution by way of the First Amendment, to protect religion from the government and NOT
to protect the government from religion. Religion is now enjoying more
freedom in Russia than in the United States. See for yourself what an early United States Supreme Court has
said about the relationship of religion and government.
- I have never voted for any measure which would increase my taxes
nor a politician who votes to increase my taxes, and never will. Why
should I when the typical tax burden of the average American exceeds 50%
no matter what tax bracket you are in - SURPRISED? Those who do not feel
oppressed by taxes, drop me a line and I'll tell you where you can
send your extra cash and keep
voting Democrat. By the way, the "rich", according to the
Democrats, is a household earning over $50,000 per year.
- The federal government has no business owning 90% of the land it
has taken from the states. How about that, with the stroke of his pen,
slick Willy took away 1.2 million acres from Utah, including the mineral
wealth beneath the land he designated as a national monument. We have now
learned that the very valuable and rare coal under that land is the
reason. Clinton has big money donating friends in Indonesia, which is the
only other country in the world which has this coal, who apparently
"persuaded" him in this action. All along he was assuring the
politicians and citizens of Utah just the opposite. But, what the heck,
Utah only has a few electoral votes - nothing to be worried about. Just
another example of Clinton's ability to say one thing and do just the
opposite. Now, the state of Utah is suing Clinton for this
"illegal" action.
- The FDA is the most corrupt government agency in the history of
our country. As long as a food or drug company pays its millions of
dollars in "bribe" money to the FDA it is pretty safe even if
its product kills, maims or makes ill. They are in bed with the food and
drug companies. Much money exchanging hands here. Let's hope that one day
soon we will have a commissioner who will be an honest person who knows
that conventional medicine does not have all the answers.
"You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred.
You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away a man's initiative
and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they
could and should do for themselves".-- Abraham Lincoln
The above quote perfectly describes a conservative and is 180 degrees out of
phase with liberal ideology. Let no one forget that the Republican Party was
formed by individuals who would not tolerate slavery. Today, the Democratic
Party has enslaved the poor into the welfare state where they are kept at a
subsistence level by throwing them a scrap once in a while rather than a hand
up, and they have yet to figure out that the Democratic Party is their worst
enemy. They have allied themselves with a party which has declared war on the
most innocent and helpless in our society - the unborn, for after all, the
unborn can't vote. You can be sure that if only the rich were allowed to vote
that the Democratic Party would have very little interest in the poor.
If You Disagree - Convince Me (I have a hard head
but an open mind)
