WarningSum:...Red Flag Warning Remains In Effect Until 10 Am Pdt Saturday
For Abundant Lightning And Dry Fuels...
Warning Message:* scattered thunderstorms will develop late this afternoon and
continue overnight across central Oregon. Numerous lightning
strikes can be expected...and the combination of abundant
lightning and dry fuels will lead to the potential of red
flag conditions.
* Affected area: in Oregon...fire zone 610 east slopes of
central Oregon Cascades...fire zone 611 Deschutes National
Forest... fire zone 630 central mountains of Oregon.
* Timing: thunderstorms will develop in central Oregon around 6 PM
and will increase in coverage during the evening hours.
Thunderstorms will gradually taper off after midnight.
* Lightning activity: scattered thunderstorms with a lightning
activity level of 3 or 4 are expected.
* Impacts: lightning combined with dry fuels will produce critical
fire weather conditions in these zones. Gusty and erratic outflow
winds can also be expected with some thunderstorms.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or will shortly. These conditions will
